cRRescendo confeRRence

Almere October 2011

The European cRRescendo project has held a very successful international cRREscendo confeRRence in October 2011 in Almere. 126 participants have been listening to high-level presentations and involved in lively discussions on the results and the impact of the project.
The cRRescendo project aims to integrate a major share of sustainability into over 3,150 new and existing homes and their energy infrastructure in order to demonstrate the possibility, feasibility and most importantly to meet the citizensí wish to live in a comfortable energy efficient home in a healthy and clean environment.
This cooperation between Ajaccio, Almere, Milton Keynes and Viladecans within the EU Concerto programme will not only showcase the successful integration of poly-generation and renewable energy into thousands of ecohouses and hundreds of solar and passive houses, but will also provide the tools for a successful reprise in these towns, the associate communities Misterbianco, San-de-Senart and Sofia, and many other cities in Europe, in an ever swelling cRRescendo.

In more general words the cRRescendo confeRRence aimed to convince all stakeholders in the built environment that it is possible to built climate-neutral in 2020 and to do major but affordable steps towards climate-neutrality in the years before. The conference (126 participants), the annual project meeting (41 participants) and the evaluation meeting (46 participants) were all very worthwhile visiting. If you did (thanks for joining us!) or did not:
you can check now already all handouts of the presentations.
Around November 8th the complete proceedings will be published.
